Tuesday Gratitude Poem: Consoling From the Dorky Duo

gratitude prompts

  • What I am grateful for
  • I am grateful for our closeness
  • Reflection: That I have a loving partner who stands with me during every difficult moment which brings us closer…I did not even know that was possible…To have someone love you completely and reassure you that your nightmares were just a dream…And that they are still right here

  • Warmer than I guessed
  • Thank you for warming my bed with your smile
  • We all fear the future
  • Will the plants grow or will i forget to water them once again

    2. . Where do most visits to your blog come from?
Most visits come from the US, but I have visitors from all over the world! I wish there was a way that I could interact with each and every one of my followers! I am hoping to make a newsletter soon…Once I figure out how to make a newsletter and get everyone on my site signed up! Connection while blogging is something that I am starting to work on after many days of writing and promoting..I’ve realized it’s all about relating to eachother.

      2. What is your favourite sport?
Swimming! Because I want to enjoy my time and not think of it as exercise! But as pools are not accessable right now…I find hiking to bring me peace. I feel like when I hike I am overcoming a goal that I can be proud of and wear that pride in my other actions during the day.

      3. What has been a special moment for you so far in 2020?
Becoming furloughed this summer…I am a Montessori teacher and have always been a “go-go” person, without any time to stop and think. Once I sit down I start to worry that I am not doing “enough”. Now that I have this time, I am using it to work through my mental health and really start growing my awareness and understanding of who I am. In addition, I am working very hard on my blog and figuring out what is working for me. After almost loosing my mother to cancer right before COVID19 started, I am glad to see her now overcoming it and all of us working together to overcome our quarantine. Above all, it is when I have “met” online, a English Professor from LinkedIn who was written his whole life and in his old age is sharing his wisdom with me…And I come to him whenever I feel like giving up on this whole writing thing. He reminds me of his experiences as well. I am lucky to have the internet now more than ever.

      4. What is your favourite quote?
“You alone are enough, you have nothing to prove to anybody”-Maya Angelou

      5. What is/was your favourite class when still at school?
      Writing!

      6. Anything you had wished to have learned earlier?
That I was not “required” to go to college that nothing in life is forced upon me, that in everything I do, in every emotion I have, I always have a choice.

      7. Which politician would you never vote for, supposing you could vote for him or her?
      Trump
